 | UNISON AWARD - Patti Howell Dr. Epley says about this winner, “She has been the most cooperative and willing singer one could ever want in their chorus. Not matter the circumstance, she is here and working. I've never had her refuse any responsibility or task or engagement in all of our years together. (speaking to her talent), “usually the best reader/singer around.”
You can always count on her. She is willing to sing, and what she does she does well, and in a good spirit. It certainly
seems that she feels grateful to be able to sing.
Other chorus members have noticed and voiced many of these same thoughts. Her commitment, her positive attitude, her talent, and the list goes on.
Many of us also know her by one other title: “snack lady." She has been our snack provider for several years now, and comes early to every rehearsal to get that set up and make the coffee. This is seemingly a small item, but we know it is
anything but small! it provides something for the chorus that is
very thoughtful and a way for us to share with one another and strengthen our chorus.
Our chorus’s highest honor goes to Patti Howell. |

 | DIRECTOR'S AWARD - Doug Allen This baritone has served as President of the KCSC for many years, devoting a lot of time, energy, resources, and talents to our group. He has a heart for service, and he continues to be enthusiastic after all these years.
Dr. Epley, has often said “that this person is one of the reasons he was willing to stay with KCSC during the first several years. That he is trustworthy and supportive, which is the best kind of colleague to have…because he is willing to say the hard things, if that seems to be needed, but never harshly or with a sense of accusation."
Add’l this person has has taken on many roles willingly and with no compensation. Though the cost to himself, his work and his family were sometimes great.
It seems appropriate that this first director’s award go to this individual for his amazing commitment throughout the years and it was echoed throughout the board and staff! |

 | HONORABLE MENTION - Lori LeVine This wonderful alto has demonstrated the commitment that we just talked about. Her section leader had nothing but positive things to say about her. I Quote, “She is always there, always prepared for each rehearsal, and equally as important, she has a very positive attitude toward our work, and the fellow singers. She is a pleasant and lovely lady and I am really happy to be singing next to her.”
We all know how important (as a choral unit) it is to be positive, as well as dedicated.
Some of us also know that she is a huge help with the snacks each week.
Our honorable mention goes to …
Lori Levine. |
